An incomplete pipe-clay wig curler of post-medieval to modern date. The wig curler is cylindrical in plan with a bulbous end which tapers towards an old and worn break. Roughly 40% of the whole object remains and no maker marks are present.
The pipe-clay is a light brownish-white colour and survives in good condition. The curler is 34.8mm long, 16.7mm in diameter at the bulbous end and weighs 9.3g.
