A copper alloy Roman coin; a nummus of Valentinian (364 - 378), Securitas Reipublicae type dating from 364 - 367 AD, minted at Lyon. Compare LRBC number 285, but the obverse legend is too long to be Valens, and must be Valentinian. It is possible that the coin is a mule combining a reverse of Valens with an obverse of Valentinian.
