A copper alloy Post Medieval buckle, dating from about 1500-1650. It is a double loop oval buckle with an angled frame and the pin is missing. It has lobed knops at both ends of the strap bar. There is a projecting point mid way at the outside end and inside edge of each loop. The buckle is otherwise undecorated. The buckle is flat on the back. It has a patina of dark-light green with patches of light brown. For other examples, please see Whitehead, page 55, numbers 314-315.
