A complete cast copper-alloy post-medieval convex mount, probably a harness mount. The mount is quatrefoil in design consisting of a central boss with protruding spokes with an openwork design. The boss is square in shape; from each side radiates a spoke connecting the boss to the outer design. The boss is delineated by incised lines. The spokes terminate in fleurs-de-lis that are conjoined; this makes for a heart-shaped openwork. The central element of each lis protrudes in a lobed knop. The radiating spokes and the outer design are trapezoidal in cross section; the lower surface is flat. On the lower surface, central to the boss, is a protruding spike of rectangular cross-section; this is now bent towards the boss. The mount is red-brown in colour with dusty, light-green corrosion product on both surfaces. An identical stud found in the same parish has been recorded on this database (ref. HAMP-0F3F71).
