A copper alloy (tombac) button of Post Medieval date, probably 1600 - 1800 AD. It has a solid domed head with an obvious casting seam and a projecting tab on the reverse. The tab has broken across its perforation. The edge of the button is damaged. Similar buttons in Bailey's Buttons and Fasteners are dated to the 17th and 18th centuries.
