Flint pebble core, roughly triangular in plan and profile. It appears to be single platformed with several flakes removed and to have been worked almost half way around. The core is a dark translucent brown with a dark cream cortex covering 1-49% of the surface area.
Butler (2005) illustrates a similar example on page 85, Fig. 30, No. 4 which is dated to the Mesolithic period.
