A silver gilt finger ring. An iconographic ring. The hoop is misshapen. The hoop is D-sectioned and decorated with diagonal bands with alternating of stamped annulets. The bezel is expanded from the hoop and has a triangular profile with an accentuated mid-rib which extends diagonally over the shoulders. On the shoulders the rib is decorated with pellets and either side are traces of cinquefoil decorations. The two facets of the bezel are decorated with an iconographic figure on each. On one side is a female figure with head covered. On the other is a bearded male figure.
This ring is similar to 2005 T175, Treasure Annual Report 2005, p119, number 425
