Two droplets of metal working debris; waste material, probably solidified spills and droplets.

The larger piece is copper alloy. It is a rounded oval in plan and is oval in section. It has a dark green patina of varying tone. It is 37.22mm long, 15.39mm wide and 7.56mm thick. It weighs 20.21g.

The small piece is greyer and smoother suggesting a high lead copper alloy or even a lead alloy. It is sub oval in plan with one rounded end and a narrower squarer end. It is sub rectangular in section. It is 14.31mm long, 6.56mm wide and 4.19mm thick. It weighs 1.93g.

This waste material is impossible to date, but is recorded as a potential indicator of metal working. Other finds from this area have dated from the early Medieval period.
