Medieval copper alloy harness pendant of 13th or 14th century date The harness pendant is non armorial and is incomplete, missing a part of one side and the top of the loop (with a surviving length of 34.9mm, a width of 27.0mm, a thickness of 2.0mm and a weight of 4.0g). The damaged loop is perpendicular to the axis of the mount (with a surviving depth of 5.2mm). The pendant is of sub-square form (27mm) and has a raised border, defining a central square (19mm). At the centre is six-petalled flower with central circular knop, both in relief. It is possible that the recessed areas around and within the floral device may have held enamel, which no longer survives. The surface is poorly preserved with a pale green to pale brown colour.
