A incomplete Post Medieval cast copper alloy asymmetrical Mount. A flat mount, with an integral bent-in rectangular-section spike and part of another on its back which attached it to a leather belt or harness. It has a central large drop- or heart-shaped lobe, with a trefoil at the pointed end and a projecting rounded or possibly trefoil lobe at the other. Surface and general condition fair.
Length 32.2mm, width 16.9mm, thickness 2.4mm, and weight 4.6g.
A similar mount is illustrated in Read 2001, Metal Artefacts of Antiquity, p.34, no.287.
