A complete late Anglo-Saxon cast copper alloy Stirrup Mount fitting. Two lateral lines of moulding at its top,with four curvilinear incised lines radiating downward forming a petal-like design. In good condition. Length 25.0mm,width 23.3mm,and weight 11.7g.
A similar fitting is illustrated in Gordon Bailey"s "Detector Finds 5",p.38,Fig.2.
