Pottery body sherd. Blackware. Fine hard fired oxidised fabric with a thick and glossy black internal glaze; spilled spots of this glaze also appear, probably fortuitously, on the outer surface. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1700-1800. This sherd was kindly identified by Wallace Collyer of the North Lincolnshire Pottery Research Group.
