A copper-alloy buckle frame, plate and pin, dating to c.1350-1400. The cast single-loop rectangular frame has a front edge is slightly wider than the bar, and the sides are each slightly curved. The front edge, although worn, shows faint transverse grooves on its front edge with one central deeper groove to accept the pin. The sides each have a small decorative ridge towards either end.

The cast copper alloy pin is in good condition, and has a small decorative ridge at the junction of loop and shaft. The buckle plate is made from a piece of copper-alloy sheet folded in half, with a pin slot. It tapers to the hinge to accommodate the frame. Some of its length is missing ,and the surviving piece shows no sign of a rivet. Length 18.3mm, width 14.1mm, thickness 3.4mm, weight 3.5g. Length of buckle plus remaining plate 32.9mm.

Compare similar buckles from contexts of c. 1350-1400 in London (Egan and Pritchard 1991, nos. 437-439).
