Pottery base sherd. Fine white fabric with traces of a dark brown colour coat, possibly Nene Valley Ware. This is from a bowl with a basal diameter estimated at 120mm. Suggested date: Late Roman, possibly 300-410. This sherd was kindly identified by Helen Fry, Sandra Firth and Hazel West of the North Lincolnshire Pottery Research Group.
