TREASURE CASE : 2011 T365.

This report will consider these coins with respect to the criteria laid down in the Treasure Act (1996): Namely, their age, precious metal content and whether the coins can be said to come from the same find.

Circumstances of Discovery
Whilst searching with a metal detector, on cultivated land.

Summary
The coins range from AD 69 - 172, starting with Vespasian and ending with Marcus Aurelius. All of the coins are silver denarii.

4 x Faustina the Elder
1 x Faustina the Younger struck under Pius
3 x Antoninus Pius
3 x Marcus Aurelius

Metal content?
All of the coins are silver.

Conclusion
On the balance of probabilities, therefore, we conclude that these coins belong together as a hoard and constitute a prima facie case of treasure by being precious metal coins of an antiquity greater than 300 years.
