Post medieval silver seal matrix of later 18th century date
The matrix is near complete, missing the top of the handle (with a surviving height of 14.8mm and a weight of 6.6g). The handle or suspension loop was oval (with a surviving width of 14.3mm and a thickness of 5.5mm). The seal die is oval (21.5mm long and 18.0mm wide) and has a beaded border around a central device depicting an 18th century gentleman in profile.
