Flint blade segment, square in plan and plano-convex in profile. The dorsal side has parallel ridges and the left margin retouched. The proximal and distal ends have been snapped off. The ventral side has conchoidal ripples.
The flint is dark smoke brown with dark cream flecks and was likely derived from a local beach pebble.
Butler (2005) illustrates a similar example on page 115, Fig. 46, No. 7 which is dated from the Mesolithic period.
