A cast copper-alloy strap fitting or toggle of Post-Medieval date. It has a plate that is roughly rectangular in form with one slightly curved end and two large semi-circular notches to each side of the plate. At either end of the plate are central circular rivet holes with the corroded remains of now missing iron rivets. The front face of the plate has moulded and symmetrical foliate motifs. At the base of the plate is a terminal knop that is circular in form and slightly raised to form a disc-shaped toggle. It has moulded decoration on the front face of the toggle comprising a cross with central pellet and floriated ends. The entire object measures 38.69mm in length, 17.06mm in width, 2.26mm in thickness, and weighs 5.31g.

This is a Post-Medieval strap fitting or toggle with a near identical parallel published by Read (2008: no. 761). It belongs to his Early Post-Medieval Type 5 toggle-clasps and dates to the 16th or 17th centuries AD.
