A cast copper-alloy strap or belt mount of Post-Medieval date. It has a plate that is roughly lozenge shaped and in the form of an eight pointed star with concave back face and elongated lobes at top, bottom and both sides. At either end of the back face are integrally cast copper-alloy rivets or lugs that are ova shaped in section and taper to rounded points that are folded at an angle of ninety degrees to enable attachment to a belt or strap. The entire object has a green patina and measures 37.64mm in length, 26.88mm in width, 5.28mm in thickness, and weighs 9.03g. This is a strap or belt mount of Post-Medieval date, probably belonging in the 16th to 17th centuries AD.
