A fragment of a cast copper alloy spherical bell dating to the 17th or 18th century. Length 21.6mm, width 20.4mm, weight 5.2g, thickness 1.3mm. This is a small piece of the lower half of a bell, which is decorated with a fish-scale design and incorporates a maker's mark.The maker's mark is hard to identify; either a set of deer antlers or a fern-like plant, flanked by the capital letters H and W, all set within a reserved semi-circle. Compare SUSS-85876D, which has an identical mark.
