A complete cast one-piece post-medieval copper-alloy animal bell (crotal), probably dating from the 17th or 18th centuries AD. The bell is biconical with a rectangular suspension loop. It has two sub-circular sound holes, one either side of the loop, on the top, and two sub-oval sound holes at either end of a linear perforation. The loose clapper is complete and still moves freely within the bell. A rib runs around the centre of the bell, where the two halves meet. The bell has a diameter of 26.95 mm and is 30.74 mm high. It weighs 18.0 grams. It has a dark green patina with areas of wear.
