Medieval cast copper alloy object in the form of a scallop shell. It is semi-circular and flat, with four grooves radiating out on the upper surface to represent the divisions of the shell. The reverse of the mount has a damaged and incomplete projecting arm extending at a right angle from the flat edge of the scallop. It is 22.58mm long, 26.65mm wide, 2.85mm thick. The arm has a rectangular cross section, measuring 6.80mm by 5.97mm. The mount weighs 10.5 g.
