An incomplete and heavily eroded cast copper alloy leg or foot from a copper alloy vessel probably a skillet or posnet of later medieval date (1300 - 1600). The foot is broadly sub-rectangular in plan tapering in width from a broken edge (probably below the mid point) to the base. In cross section the foot is an oval shape; the exterior edges are slightly faceted. The upper edge of the foot is broken with an uneven surface. The base of the foot is irregular with a relatively flat section. The foot is a mid - light green colour with small areas of carbonised soot deposit adhering to all surfaces. Similar examples of feet from copper alloy vessels have been dated to the later medieval period (1300 - 1600).
The leg fragment measures 29.4mm in length, has a maximum width of 21.9mm, a maximum thickness of 10.4mm and it weighs 24.28 grams.
