An incomplete Medieval silver-gilt finger-ring with a bezel formed of clasped hands (c. 1300-c. 1400). Treasure case no. 2011T272. Most of the hoop is missing and the surviving parts, adjacent to the bezel, are triangular in cross-section. The breaks are old.
17.1mm (length) x 5.4mm (width) x 2.6mm (thickness). Weight: 1.04g.
The find contains a minimum of 10% silver and predates 1711. It thus qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996 in terms of precious metal content and age.

Discovery: Found by Mr Dave White while metal-detecting in April 2011, and reported to Frank Basford (Isle of Wight FLO).
