Psot-Medieval cast copper alloy strap fitting / belt mount, 17th century. Tri-lobed mount with two small rounded lobes and one longer lobe forming a point at its tip; two integral spikes on the reverse (one at the end of the pointed lobe, the other between the rounded lobes), one spike broken, the other bent, indicating max width of strap c.2.3mm. Red-brown patina. Length 22.4mm, width 15.5mm, thickness including spikes 5.2mm, thickness across centre 1.6mm, weight 2.30g.
