Cast copper alloy Medieval mount, most likely from a casket or a box, c. 12-1500 AD in date.

It has a rectangular shaft with a fleur-de-lys terminal which has a width of 18.61mm and a thickness of 1.78mm. This terminal has a circular hole in the centre and grooved lines dividing the three segments. There is a small collar where it meets the shaft. The shaft has a D-shaped cross section and is broken at the end, possibly where another fleur-de-lys terminal would have been.
There are traces of gilding on the upper surface.
