A burin of later Mesolithic date formed on a snapped mid grey mottled flint blade. The bulb of percussion and striking platform have been removed by snapping although the ventral face has clear evidence of chonciodal fracturing. The proximal snapped edge has been reworked with steep sided retouch creating a projecting point. This point has been made more angular by a deliberate vertical removal that has removed a small rectangular flake giving the point a specific identifiable profile. The rectangular notch at the mid point of the blade is a modern removal from movement in the soil. The burin measures 20.9 mm length, 16.9mm width, is 2.2mm thick and weighs 0.8 grams.
