A cast, copper-alloy fragment of a Roman Trumpet brooch, 1st-2nd Century AD. Only the trumpet shaped head remains. The head has a hinge mechanism for the pin, with a small piece of pin still attached. The trumpet head has moulded decoration which extends down to where the bow would have been. It has an even green patina. The brooch measures 14.01mm wide and 18.03mm long.
