Eight sherds of pottery: incudes five sherds in shell-tempered sandy ware (three cooking pot rims, one ?jug sherd with bands of fine horizontal combing, one cooking pot base). These are in North or West Kent Sand and Shell-tempered ware (EM36) these forms dating to c.1175-1225/50. The other three sherds comprise two cooking pot rims and a jug rim/handle in North or West Kent Sandy Ware (M38A) and these probably date to c.1200-1250/75 but the cooking pot rims could date from as early as c.1175. One has a downturned flanged rim with pale grey or silvery-grey sufaces (very like samples found in Dover and also with characteristic internal fingernail scoring); the other rim is an unusual beaded rim with and internal bever. The jug rim is plain and flattened with a rod handle with deep circular stabbing.
