A corroded cast copper-alloy key handle of Roman date.
The bow consists of a simple moulded openwork trefoil design. The sides loops are small with circular perforations. The central recess is linear with rounded ends. The bow connects to a circular-sectioned solid shaft which may have had moulding on, but it is now very worn. The shaft is broken a short way down, with most of it missing. The object now has a variable mid-green patina.
