An incomplete post-Medieval cast-copper-alloy mount (c. 1600-c. 1700). The central part is sub-oval with curving sides. At one end there is a semi-circular lobe and the opposite is pointed. At the rear is an integral spike at one end and the remains of a spike at the other end. The front is a smooth drab brown colour and the rear is corroded. 29.1 x 7.6 x 6.4mm. Weight: 2.53g. A similar mount has been recorded from Linwood Parish, Lincolnshire (LIN-DD5F80).
