An incomplete cast copper-alloy spoon of Post-Medieval date. The bowl and a short length of the stem survive, the remainder now missing due to old breaks. The bowl is oval shaped in form, concave and slightly damaged/cracked on one side. The stem is oval shaped in section and extends onto the underside of the bowl forming a triangular 'rat tail' on the back face. It measures 42.89mm in length, 19.18mm in width at bowl, 5.49mm in thickness at bowl, and weighs 5.13g. This spoon bowl is of Post-Medieval date, the rat tail on the back face of the bowl suggesting a date range in the late 17th to 18th centuries AD (see for example DENO-577BE2 or SUSS-B3F337).
