Irregularly shaped fragment of a medieval or post-medieval copper alloy vessel rim. The rim is thickened with a flat top edge created by a D-shaped swelling on the inner side.
Crudely made cast copper alloy vessels with similar rims were widely used from c.AD 1200-1725 for serving and cooking (Butler and Green 2003; 7, 15, 22).
