A copper alloy Medieval or Post-Medieval sheet metal mount. It is incomplete as a result of old breaks and possible plough damage. It has a cruciform shape, two opposite arms of which have semi-circular projections, at the centre of which are circular depressions, suggesting rivet holes, although the metal remains unperforated. The other opposing arms are also rectangular, but one is missing its terminal. The other has two triangualr extensions on either side, and a similar circular depression as seen on the other two arms.
The mount measures 34.96mm x 39.63mm and weighs 4.04g. It may have been a box or furniture mount.
