Copper alloy Roman disc brooch, 2nd- 3rd century in date.
It is circular in plan with decoration in relief on the front. The fields would have been infilled with enamel originally but this has all been lost. The design consists of a 6 pointed star, each point has an anulet at the end, the arms are curved. In the centre is a pellet. There is a raised border around the edge of the brooch.
The reverse is plain and flat with the remnants of the pin mechanism and catchplate. The pin is missing.
