A complete misshapen and damaged Medieval to post-Medieval cast copper-alloy closed thimble (c. 1400-c. 1550).

These spiral clockwise from the base to the apex where there is a deliberate circular perforation. There are also similar indentations on the top. The rim is plain and is torn in two places. The outer surfaces are worn and a mid matt brown colour. Height: 20.2mm; width: 31.1mm; thickness: 15.3mm; thickness of rim: 0.5mm. Weight: 4.81g.
