Medieval cast copper-alloy single oval loop buckle frame. The frame is trapezoid in cross section with flat front and back and bevelled inner and outer sides. It has a straight strap bar which is narrowed and a incised transverse pin rest in the centre of the outer side. The frame is 37.3mm long and 24.9mm wide and is a maximum of 2.7mm thick. It weighs 6.34 grams. The buckle surface is a pale to mid grey-green colour .
A similar example is illustrated in Egan and Pritchard (1991:89, no.390), this form is dated c.1350-1450 AD (ibid: 22).
