An unusual medieval lead bead (or possible weight), bi-conical, measuring 13mm in diameter. It has corroded and damaged relief decoration comprising pellets within and between oblique lines, around the faces, and a central perforation. It weighs 63.8 grains. There is no obvious correlation with any weight system, although it would be a little overweight for 1 drachm (= 60 grains). It may be compared with a similarly elaborate example of a weight in Mellor and Pearce (1981), fig. 51, no. 71. It dates from the 15th century.
