A copper-alloy Anglo-Saxon buckle. A broken section of a square-headed tongue shield. The tongue is circular in section and flattens out into a rectangular form on the head. Probably 6th to 7th century in date. The tongue shield is 22.74mm in length and 10.20mm in width. It is 3.73mm thick and weighs 2.16g.
