PENDANT

Unique ID: DUR-B12E87

Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

Cast copper alloy pendant or mount, late Medieval to Post Medieval in date.

It has a large circular loop at the top, the pendant body would have been lozenge shape when complete with scalloped edges but some parts are missing. There is decoration in relief on the front face which is now obscured by wear and corrosion, it appears to have been symmetrical with some zig-zag lines. The reverse is mainly flat with a off-centre circular dent, possibly where a stud was attached, this is unclear.
