13th - 18th Century. Copper alloy, cast, complete but broken into two fragments 'mystery ring'. Length 34.3mm, Width 32.9mm, Thickness 2.7mm, Diameter 34mm, Weight 4.3g. Crude, hand file finished surface with bevelled inside and outside edges with a hexagonal cross-section. There is a thin layer of rusty brown coloured corrosive deposit probably as a result of water logged ground condition. Ref. Finds Identified, Gordon Bailey, Greenlight Publishing 2000, page 10-15.
