A complete cast copper alloy buckle frame of post-medieval date. The buckle frame is asymmetrical in design with moulded decoration on the loops. Lobed knops extend from either end of the strap bar and at two symmetrical points on the outer edge of the rounded loop. The strap bar is narrowed. The copper alloy pin survives in tact and is corroded in place.
The metal is a mid greenish-brown colour and is worn. The buckle is 24.7mm long, 19.5mm wide, 4.1mm thick and weighs 2.8g.
