A slightly corroded rectangular double-looped buckle of probable post-medieval date. The buckle is incomplete in as much as it has lost its pin. The loops are rectangular with rounded corners. The frame is broadly semi-circular in cross-section with a flat lower surface, there are slight depressions on this surface. The frame can be seen to have been bent slightly upwards at one side, when viewed in profile; the pin bar is bent downwards at its centre. There is evidence of iron corrosion product on the pin bar, just off centre, at the centre of the frame opposite where the pin would have rested. Such buckle frame are undiagnostic and could date from the medieval period, although a later date seems more likely.
