Small cremation vessel with cremation still inside dating from the early Roman period, probably c. AD43-200. The vessel is made from dark grey fabric and complete. The outer surface was burnished and the upper body of the vessel decorated with a criss/cross pattern typical for black-burnished Roman vessels.

NB The vessel is to be excavated by a pottery expert and her report will be added to this record as soon as it is finished.
