A fragment of a Medieval jug handle, probably dating to the 14th / 15th century. The handle fragment is in a hard pinkish-grey sandy fabric with grey outer coat. The handle is decorated with four ribs and it has an inverted conical hole at the base of the handle, where it would have joined the vessel wall. This hole is an integral part of the handle and may have been to aid lifting during the production process.
