Broken end of a cast, copper-alloy, tree shaped, terminal probably from a Medieval crescentic composite strap-end. The fragment is triangular with a moulded front and outline in the form of a central stem and four symmetrically arranged side branches with roughly circular indents between them. The back is plain. The broken end is very worn and slightly bent but there is one short, broken and twisted projection from one corner and parts of at least three open circular holes along the break. It is 18.9mm long, 23.0mm wide and 2.1mm thick; it weighs 2.64 grams.
Although only a small part remains it is very similar in form to examples of this distinctive group of strap ends, e.g. HAMP-FD7C24 and DEV-4F85E4. They are dated c. 1400 - c. 1450 AD (Geake 2001, 32).
