An incomplete Post-Medieval (1660-1720) cast copper alloy trapezoidal shoe or knee buckle frame, drilled for the (iron) spindle and with an anchor chape, missing its tongue. It measures 39.30x23.71mm (internal loops c.11x15mm) and weighs 9.5g.

The frame has multiple moulded transverse grooves at either end, with a gap for the pin rest, and incurved edges between (with a moulding either side of the axis bar).
