Three (3) complete cast spherical lead alloy probable Shot, of Post Medieval dating.
1. has a diameter of 18.36mm. It weighs 30.7 grams. (TGid: 12)
2. has a diameter of 18.36mm. It weighs 33.2 grams (TGid: 9)
3. has a diameter of 20.54mm. It weighs 39.4 grams (TGid: 13)
Apart from no.2, they are slightly mishapen. No.1 is half spheriod in shape, and No. 3 is a bulbous cylinder shape. However they are similar weights and diameters, so probably a similar origin.
Notes:
This shot came in as part of an assemblage of 31 from the same field. They were individually weighed and measured (TGids), for future research potential. They have been recorded on the PAS database in groups according to size and characteristics. The complete assemblage consists of the following PAS records: WAW-A7D0D2, WAW-A7F058, WAW-A8D562, WAW-A874C3, WAW-A859B4, and WAW-A801038.
