A military button of the Woking Volunteer Cavalry.

The button has a crown above the legend WOKEING VOLR CAV

The maker's mark on the back is Firmin and Westhall, Strand.

Notes:

Firmin and Westhall's mark dates the button to 1794-1812. The Woking Volunteer Cavalry operated for a very few years from 1798-1802.
