A copper alloy sheet with evidence of tinning. Evidence of a rivet hole at each end, obscured by the breaks. The way the tinning and corrosion has developed suggest that the fragment has been affected by fire. Similar buckle plates can be seen in Whitehead's reference book, dating to the 15th century AD
